What is the Horizons Summer Program?
Our program is designed to serve boys attending kindergarten through 8th grade. Our program began with one class of 15 students for each kindergarten and first grade in the summer of 2014. We will add a new kindergarten class each year.
Horizons is a six-week summer enrichment program of academic, cultural and recreational activities for boys who attend Greenwich public schools and are eligible for Federal Free/Reduced-Price lunch. Students begin the day in academic classes that include reading, writing and math. Music, art, STEM and science classes are included in the curriculum as well as sports and swimming instruction. Classes are taught by experienced teachers. A healthy breakfast and lunch is provided everyday. Field trips are offered throughout the six-week program.
Goals of the Program
